Ten years of Love

I was honored to be asked to do The Cake, Favors and desserts for my Cousin Della's Ten year wedding {renewal}.
Ten years ago Ismael and Della eloped in Tahoe, Nevada { I was unable to go because I had just had a baby.} Their vow is more important than the ceremony but it was so nice for them to have a proper renewal!
Here are the favors. I wish I had more time to work on them. I also made Peanut Butter Chocolate Chips and Chocolate Walnut Cookies,
Mini Carrot Cake Cupcakes and Almond Parisian Macarons with Ganache filling.

Of course not everything goes as planned. I made these gum paste flowers for the top of the cake but they didn't sit right on it. So I put white roses on top instead. It was such a beautiful event full of love!Can't wait to get the pictures from the photographer!
My regrets...That I didn't get a picture of me and my cousin and that I didn't make my own chocolate cake.

freaky cake

I had to post the Halloween cake that Chef Flick made for someone. I like it because it reminds me of the Godfather.Plus it's really cool to be able to work with Chocolate like that!

Celebrate back to school

I made these little cakes for my girls. Back to school is a celebration for me! The theme this year was zebra and hot pink! It was inspired by the surprise bedroom change I did for them! Too trendy for me but they love it!

{for Abby}

{for Shaine}

{oh so good!}

Petite Cake

Making these petite cakes was easier then I thought. I thought I had to buy small pans and bake individual ones {taking forever}. Nope all you need is a sheet cake and a cutter. I love the idea of individual cakes per guest for an event.

Vanilla Bean Cake

While in Sonoma County we picked up a great Conserve Asian Pear, Blackberry and LavenderI thought that it would add a great fresh flavor to the cake. Iced with a vanilla bean whipped cream frosting , topped with fresh blackberries served with a scoop of poached pear sorbet.
This was a summer hit!

Anniversary Cake

To celebrate Me and my Husband's 8th year of Marriage I made our family a red velvet cake. This cake had a second tier that refused to cooperate and I had zero patience to deal with it. Knowing that it was just for us I figured that smaller was better.
The cake was very good with cream cheese frosting Ohhh ya! My real problems with the cake is that black coloring bleeds I added meringue powder to try to retard it but it is still really hard not to have a few areas. Next time I will do a colorflow technique that will greatly help. I have to admit I rushed the cake decorating. I know better....

New Design

I saw a super cute cake from three women and a oven it was a pink circle and a black dress {all in fondant} so I thought that I would do a purple circle and a white onesie. I love it it is on top of a great coconut cake with cream cheese frosting! It's to welcome my new niece who was born last night!

Oh and I did a cheesecake for a client as well...Isn't she pretty?
